Latest Dock Ordinance info From Roger Kelley, LBLA President: Argentine ZBA denied the request for a variance to the dock ordnance. This important ruling has stopped one keyholing site on our lake. Also Argentine twp Board has placed a moratorium on variances to the dock ordnance! Thank you to everyone that signed the petitions in support of our ordinance.
Dock Ordinance Meeting There will be a meeting on May 6th at the Argentine Township Hall where the ZBA will consider a variance to the dock ordinance. It is very important that everyone show up to voice their disapproval of this variance request. If you remember, the Argentine Township Zoning Board of Appeals, ZBA, ruled that the Building Inspector was wrong in allowing a fence and dock to be erected on a non-buildable lot. Now, the ZBA has been asked to grant a variance to permit the illegal dock to remain on the non-buildable property.
